Foothill Gold Line Light Rail construction project near Metrolink’s Pomona North Station - Ongoing

Construction Activity:

As part of the 9.1- mile Foothill Gold Line light rail project, KPJV crews will be fully rebuilding the railroad crossing for the new light rail system on Garey Ave. in the city of Pomona. This work requires a full closure of Garey Ave. at the railroad crossing beginning February 1st for approximately 45 days. During this closure, access to the Metrolink Station will not be available from Garey Ave.

Metrolink’s Pomona North Station Parking lot: There will be occasional closures at the Fulton Rd. parking entrance and partial closures of the Santa Fe St. parking entrance. When the closures are in place, work crews will assist with traffic control in and out of the parking lot.  Crews will continue with the construction of the Pomona Gold Line Station and light rail track installation. Starting early 2022, crews closed specified parking areas/spaces to make room for the new construction. This phase of construction is still ongoing and will last thru the beginning of next year. A minimum of 100 parking spaces, closest to the train platform, are currently still available, including all of the existing 14 accessible parking spaces. Please be aware of construction signage and barricades throughout the parking lot separating the available parking spaces from the on-going construction activities.
